Join us Sept. 12 at 4 p.m. in KSC 313 for the first session of the fall Dialogue and Difference series! "Communication Dos and Don'ts," led by Jacquelyn Bleak and colleagues from the School of Peace and Conflict Studies, will focus on communication and conflict resolution. Have you ever had a conversation where you felt worse after the conversation ended? This session will provide tips and tricks for when you are grappling with someone you disagree with in the classroom and beyond. Registration is appreciated, but not required.

  • On April 24, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) published a final rule to improve the accessibility of web content and mobile applications for people with disabilities under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The rule requires public schools, community colleges, and public universities to ensure that all digital content created by or contracted with the university is accessible by April 2026. Take advantage of Equal Access Academy accessibility trainings this fall!

  • Join us to celebrate the grand opening of Crawford Hall. Crawford Hall, the newest building on the Kent Campus, is named in honor of U.S. Ambassador Edward F. Crawford, for whom the college is also named: the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship. The building is designed to facilitate interaction among students, faculty and the business community from all over the world. The grand opening will take place on Friday, Sept. 27 at 2 p.m.

  • Registration for the Reimagining the Academy Conference closes this Friday, Sept. 6! Registration is FREE for faculty, staff, students and community members. The conference will be held Sept. 20-21 at Miami University in Oxford, OH. Virtual sessions are available. The theme of coalition-building in a divided world will explore how individuals can come together across disciplinary and professional borders, positionalities and institutions to build on our strengths, discuss and develop spaces and strategies of resistance and support, and learn from one another.

  • The Hispanic Heritage Month Planning Committee is welcoming university divisions, departments and student organizations to begin submitting their programming, activities and events to the University Events Calendar. Under 鈥淗elp People Connect,鈥 select the category Signature Programs and select the topic Hispanic Heritage.
